The study titled "Evaluation of the efficacy of a food supplement on hair trophism and normal growth in subjects with androgenetic alopecia" is a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial currently recruiting in Italy. It aims to assess the efficacy of a supplement containing Oryza sativa and Opuntia cus indica extracts (Actrisave™) in improving hair growth and quality in 88 healthy female participants aged 18-64 with mild to moderate androgenetic alopecia. Participants will take the supplement daily for 6 months, with primary outcomes including hair density and thickness, and secondary outcomes assessing hair morphology, gloss, volume, radiance, and growth. The study also monitors inflammatory status, renal and hepatic tolerability, and product acceptability. Completion is expected by October 2026.
