TLDR Erlotinib can cause excessive eyelash growth.
Erlotinib, used for treating non-small cell lung cancer, can cause eyelash trichomegaly, a rare side effect involving excessive eyelash growth. This case report discusses a nonsmoking woman with lung adenocarcinoma who experienced significant eyelash overgrowth and vision issues after months of erlotinib therapy. Dermoscopy revealed increased eyelash length and thickness with eyelid inflammation. While not drug-limiting, trichomegaly can cause ocular discomfort, and eyelash trimming may be needed. The condition usually resolves after stopping the medication.
