TLDR Men with self-diagnosed PFS-related ED have normal erectile hemodynamics.
The study analyzed erectile hemodynamics in 141 men with self-diagnosed post-finasteride syndrome (PFS) who developed erectile dysfunction (ED) after using finasteride for hair loss. The participants, with a mean age of 31, had no prior ED history and had used finasteride for a median of 16 months. Results showed that one-third developed ED after stopping finasteride, with a mean duration of 6 months off the drug. Hemodynamic measurements indicated normal erectile function, with mean peak systolic velocity (PSV) of 60 cm/s and end-diastolic velocity (EDV) of 1.5 cm/s. The study concluded that hemodynamic alterations are not present in men with self-diagnosed PFS-related ED.
