TLDR Platelet-rich plasma injections can help the body heal and treat conditions like hair loss, wound healing, acne scars, erectile dysfunction, and osteoarthritis, but more research is needed.

The review article concludes that platelet-rich plasma (PRP) injections can stimulate the human body to regenerate and have shown promise in treating disorders such as androgenetic alopecia, hair regrowth, wound healing, acne scars, erectile dysfunction, and osteoarthritis. The effects of local PRP injections can also complement the therapy of many other diseases. However, more research is needed to officially register the application of local PRP as a treatment for these diseases.
