TLDR Betamethasone injections are more effective than Clobetasol for treating alopecia areata in children.
The study compared the effectiveness of different treatments for alopecia areata (AA) in children, involving 420 patients. It found that intradermal injections of Betamethasone were more effective than topical Clobetasol. Tofacitinib showed higher efficacy in patients with both AA and atopic dermatitis compared to those without atopic dermatitis. Dupilumab emerged as a potential treatment for severe forms of AA. The study concludes that further randomized controlled trials are necessary to evaluate the long-term efficacy of Tofacitinib and Dupilumab.
