TLDR PRP injections help hair regrowth safely but may need more research.
This clinical study on 30 patients with pattern hair loss found that Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) injections, administered three times at 30-day intervals, led to clinical improvement in hair regrowth with no side effects during treatment. However, 4 patients experienced progressive hair loss 16 months post-treatment. The study concludes that PRP is a safe and effective treatment for hair loss and works well with topical drugs like finasteride and minoxidil, though further extensive controlled studies are recommended.
