This randomized clinical trial involving 24 women with PCOS compared the effects of auriculotherapy, Aslagh capsule, and metformin on clinical symptoms. The study found that while all three treatments reduced the duration of the menstrual cycle, this reduction was significant only in the auriculotherapy group. There were no significant differences in acne and hirsutism scores among the groups. However, auriculotherapy significantly reduced excess hair growth and hair density compared to the other treatments. The study concludes that auriculotherapy and Aslagh capsule are effective in reducing PCOS symptoms, with auriculotherapy being particularly effective in reducing menstrual cycle duration, excess hair growth, and hair density.
