TLDR SR-ECDi helps better understand and map the chiroptical properties of solid chiral materials.
The study introduces synchrotron radiation electronic circular dichroism imaging (SR-ECDi) to analyze the active pharmaceutical ingredient Finasteride. This technique provides unique insights into the anisotropy of local domains in solid-state ECD spectra, enhancing the interpretation of solid-state chiroptical measurements. The findings suggest that SR-ECDi can be broadly applied to probe and map solid chiral materials, offering a new perspective on their chiroptical properties.
