TLDR Most postmenopausal women experience significant skin changes and various skin conditions.
The study conducted at the Indira Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences involved 223 postmenopausal women and aimed to understand their dermatological concerns. The results showed that 83.4% of the women had cutaneous dermatosis, 29.1% had genital dermatosis, 10.3% had oral mucosa involvement, 33.6% had hair disorders, and 26% had nail disorders. The most common hair disorder was female pattern hair loss, affecting 46.7% of the women with hair disorders.
