TLDR A pet rabbit had a skin infection that was cured with ketoconazole.
This paper described a rare case of dermatitis associated with Malassezia spp in a 6-month-old Lop male rabbit, which presented with alopecia, skin peeling, and hair shedding. Malassezia spp was isolated from a skin sample cultured in Sabouraud dextrose agar. The rabbit initially responded to griseofulvin treatment but experienced a recurrence, ultimately recovering fully after treatment with ketoconazole.
