TLDR COVID-19 patients with skin signs often stayed in the hospital for less time than those without skin signs.
The study evaluated the impact of skin signs related to COVID-19 on the length of hospital stay, involving 192 hospitalized COVID-19 patients from May to July 2021. Dermatological manifestations were observed in 10 of these cases. The study found that patients with these skin signs typically did not exhibit classical COVID-19 symptoms and had a statistically significant shorter hospital stay compared to those without dermatological findings.

Dutasteride is less commonly prescribed for hair loss because it is not FDA-approved for this purpose, unlike finasteride, which is more accessible and preferred due to fewer side effects. Dutasteride may be more effective in reducing DHT but has a longer half-life and potentially more significant side effects.
