The document discussed the emergence of cutaneous manifestations in pediatric patients with COVID-19, particularly those with multisystem inflammatory syndrome in children (MIS-C). This syndrome affected a small percentage of children infected with SARS-CoV-2 and was characterized by fever, inflammation, multisystem involvement, and severe illness requiring hospitalization. The cutaneous findings in these patients were noted for their heterogeneity and poor characterization. The document presented a case of a pediatric patient with COVID-19 who exhibited these cutaneous manifestations consistent with MIS-C.
