TLDR The cosmetic product effectively reduced hair growth and thickness on forearms.
The study assessed the efficacy of a cosmetic formulation containing 4% capryloyl glycine in reducing hair growth on the forearms of 69 female patients over 120 days. Using TrichoScan software, significant reductions in hair density, median hair length, and terminal hair were observed at the active-treated site compared to the placebo, with no significant differences at the start but highly significant differences by the end of the study (P < .001). The results indicated that the formulation was effective in treating hypertrichosis, demonstrating its potential as a cosmetic treatment for unwanted body hair.
