TLDR Tofacitinib helped a man with alopecia totalis regrow all his hair.
This case report detailed the successful treatment of alopecia totalis in a 43-year-old male patient using the Janus kinase inhibitor, tofacitinib. The patient experienced complete hair regrowth after six months of treatment, and no relapse was observed after one year. This suggested that tofacitinib could be a promising treatment option for alopecia totalis, a condition where common treatments were often ineffective.
