TLDR
Different hair loss treatment ingredients work well with TrichoTech™ vehicles for 3 to 6 months, making them good for use in hair treatments.
The study tested seven formulations with various active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) for compatibility with TrichoTech™ vehicles, used for topical hair loss treatments. The APIs included substances like clobetasol, ketoconazole, spironolactone, latanoprost, pyridoxine HCl, vitamin A acetate, vitamin E succinate, caffeine, menthol, minoxidil, and finasteride. All formulations showed a beyond-use date (BUD) of 6 months, except for two which had a BUD of 3 months. The results indicated that the APIs are compatible with the TrichoTech™ vehicles, maintaining their labeled concentration within the acceptable range of 90% to 110% over a period of 3 to 6 months, making them suitable for use in compounding pharmacies for hair treatments.
