    Kamal Uddin Khan, Fahad Abdullah
TLDR Hair transplants improve hairlines and reduce distress from hair loss.
The study conducted from January to September 2022 involved 100 patients undergoing hair transplants due to various forms of alopecia. It aimed to assess the effectiveness of different hairline designs in hair transplant procedures. The results showed that 50 patients, with a mean age of 33.82 years, experienced significant improvements in their hairline patterns post-transplantation. The Norwood-Hamilton scale was used to evaluate the degree of hair fall and hairline pattern, revealing that most patients reverted to a type 1 hairline pattern, indicating a lower grade of hair loss. The study highlights the success of hair transplant procedures in enhancing hairline aesthetics and reducing psychological distress associated with hair loss.

Hair loss in women is complex to diagnose and treat, and hair restoration should be done by experts. Using minoxidil before surgery can help manage post-surgery hair shock loss. The Follicular Unit Transplantation method is recommended for women due to its speed, no need for shaving, and better graft quality. Strategies like L, T, and reverse L patterns can help restore central hair density, and regenerative methods can improve graft survival in hair transplants.
