TLDR PRP is more effective than Minoxidil for reducing hair loss and promoting hair growth.
This experimental comparative study evaluated the efficacy of Plasma Rich in Proteins (PRP) versus injectable Minoxidil for treating alopecia in 20 healthy male volunteers aged 18 to 60. The study concluded that PRP showed better results in reducing hair loss and promoting hair growth compared to Minoxidil, with noticeable effects after the second application. PRP was also better adhered to by patients due to the 3-week interval between applications, whereas Minoxidil showed results starting from the seventh application.
