TLDR A diet of collagen and vinegar improved hair growth and scalp health in women aged 40-60 more effectively than collagen alone.
The study investigated the effects of a complex diet of collagen and vinegar on scalp and diffuse alopecia in women aged 40-60. It found that this diet significantly reduced scalp sebum output, microbial and keratin quantity, erythema, pigment quantity, and pH compared to control and collagen-only groups. Notably, the number of hairs in a 5 mm² area on the scalp and the number of hairs per follicle increased by 2.5 times and 1.6 times, respectively, compared to the collagen-only group. The study concluded that the combined diet of collagen and vinegar was more effective in improving scalp and diffuse alopecia than collagen alone, likely due to better absorption in women with presumed reduced gastric secretion function.

It is cautioned that there are risks associated with not using medically-prescribed treatments, but it is suggested to consider mechanical stimulation in addition to those prescribed treatments.
