TLDR Valette® is an effective birth control pill that also reduces greasy hair and skin.
The studies aimed to evaluate the contraceptive efficacy, cycle stability, and tolerability of Valette®, a low-dose monophasic oral contraceptive containing dienogest and ethinylestradiol, and its effect on sebaceous gland secretion. Study 1 included 16,087 women and reported an unadjusted Pearl index of 0.14 with good cycle control and tolerability in over 85% of subjects. Study 2 involved 10,718 women and showed a decrease in greasy hair and skin, with 88% rating the treatment as good or very good. The preparation was effective for contraception and beneficial for women with excessive sebum production.
