TLDR Terazosin hydrochloride helps with BPH and blood pressure, but not more than the control.
The study investigated the effects of terazosin hydrochloride and finasteride on patients with benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) and hypertension, involving 302 participants divided into a treatment group and a control group. Over 24 months, the treatment group, which received terazosin hydrochloride and finasteride, showed improvement in prostate volume and blood pressure, indicating the medication's effectiveness in managing BPH symptoms and hypertension. However, there was no significant difference in overall treatment effects between the two groups, suggesting that while terazosin hydrochloride was beneficial for lowering blood pressure and improving prostate symptoms, its impact was not markedly superior to the control.
