This study investigates the molecular interactions between Parkinson's disease (PD), characterized by alpha-synuclein (SNCA) abnormalities, and infertility conditions (IC) using bioinformatic network analysis. It identifies 12 overlapping molecules between SNCA and IC, suggesting a connection between these conditions. The research highlights the roles of dihydrotestosterone (DHT) and caspases, with SNCA activation potentially exacerbating both PD and IC. Nicotine is identified as a potential therapeutic agent, as its activation within the molecular network led to a downregulation of both PD pathology and IC. The study suggests a novel link between infertility and genes associated with SNCA-related PD, emphasizing nicotine's potential therapeutic role.
