Clinically Significant Axial Shortening in Myopic Children After Repeated Low-Level Red Light Therapy: A Retrospective Multicenter Analysis

    TLDR Low-level red light therapy can shorten eye length in some myopic children.
    A retrospective multicenter analysis found that more than 25% of myopic children experienced axial length (AL) shortening greater than 0.05 mm after undergoing repeated low-level red light (RLRL) therapy, with an overall mean AL change of -0.142 mm per year. The study suggests that further research is needed to investigate the mechanisms responsible for this AL shortening.
