The study assessed the efficacy of a cosmetic formulation containing 4% capryloyl glycine in reducing hair growth on the forearms of 69 female patients over 120 days. Using TrichoScan software, significant reductions in hair density, median hair length, and terminal hair were observed at the active-treated site compared to the placebo, with highly significant differences noted at the end of the treatment period (P < .001). The results indicated that the formulation was effective in treating hypertrichosis by decreasing hair growth and thickness.
