TLDR Niosomal minoxidil, when applied topically, increases hair count more than conventional minoxidil solution.
In 2015, a double-blind clinical trial study was conducted on 88 males with Androgenetic Alopecia (AGA) to assess the effectiveness of topical niosomal minoxidil compared to conventional minoxidil solution. The results showed a statistically significant increase in hair count from the first visit to the last one in both groups (P<.05). However, the increase in hair count in the niosomal minoxidil group was more compared to the conventional minoxidil solution group (P<.001). Therefore, the study concluded that topical niosomal minoxidil resulted in a statistically significant increase in hair count compared to conventional minoxidil solution.
