TLDR Arnica Hydrogel may be a better, non-greasy option for treating hair loss.
The study aimed to develop a non-sticky, non-greasy Arnica Hydrogel to stimulate hair growth, addressing the limitations of existing hair loss treatments like oils and shampoos. Arnica montana, known for its hair growth stimulation, anti-inflammatory, and anti-dandruff properties, was incorporated into a hydrogel, which is a three-dimensional cross-linked polymer network capable of holding large quantities of water and drugs. The hydrogel was optimized for Carbopol 934 concentration and evaluated for physical appearance, viscosity, pH, spreadability, and stability, offering a potentially more effective and user-friendly alternative for hair loss treatment.
