The study "Anatomical Landmarks of the Beard Region" aimed to determine and analyze the beard lines and anatomical boundaries of the beard area to provide a more natural restoration/reconstruction appearance. The researchers identified soft-tissue landmarks of the face that would enable physicians to create natural-looking beard lines. These landmarks were then used to analyze beard lines with anthropometric methods in a study involving 32 male volunteers. The study concluded that the ideal upper and lower beard lines and the anatomical boundaries of the beard area could be determined using these landmarks, ensuring that beard restoration/reconstruction provides a more natural appearance.
