Widely cultivated in Asia, including India and China, clinical studies had shown its antidiabetic, anticancer, antipyretic, analgesic, hepatoprotective, cardioprotective, and immunomodulatory properties. It also helped with skin, dental issues, hair growth, and memory enhancement. Various products like preserves, candies, pickles, jams, sauces, beverages, powders, and Chyawanprash could be made from amla, offering significant health benefits to consumers. The chapter detailed these medicinal properties and processed products to emphasize the berry's daily use.
