The study "Association between degrees of alopecia and prostate specific antigen level in men with androgenetic alopecia" aimed to identify the association between the severity of androgenetic alopecia (AGA) and serum prostate specific antigen (PSA) levels in men of different ages. The study enrolled 1,018 men aged 30-68 years with male AGA II-VI Hamilton-Norwood (H/N) scale. Patients were divided into severe and mild groups based on their H/N scale. High PSA was defined as initial serum PSA level above a certain value for each age group, and low PSA was defined as below. The study found no correlation between serum PSA level and severity of AGA at baseline.
