Alopecia Mucinosa: Report of a Case and Review

Alopecia mucinosa, marked by mucin buildup in hair follicles, was linked to benign and malignant conditions and was more common in adults. It appeared in three forms: primary idiopathic, malignancy-associated, and secondary to inflammation. Treatment was difficult, but a reported idiopathic case achieved full remission with minocycline.
