TLDR Adults with alopecia areata stick to their medication better than those with atopic dermatitis.
The study found that adult patients with alopecia areata (AA) exhibit significantly better medication adherence (MA) compared to those with atopic dermatitis (AD). This difference is attributed to the stability of AA symptoms, which encourages consistent medication use for disease control. In contrast, the sporadic nature of AD symptoms may lead to inconsistent medication adherence, as patients experience fluctuations in symptom severity.
