TLDR Retinol with polylysine cleared scalp skin growths in 21 days without side effects.
This case report presents a 64-year-old male patient with actinic hyperkeratosis on the scalp, treated with a novel dermocosmetic formulation combining retinol and a polylysine biovector. The treatment, applied twice daily, resulted in the complete disappearance of the hyperkeratotic plaque and limited hair regrowth after 21 days, with no reported irritation or adverse effects. This suggests that the formulation could be a promising alternative to conventional treatments for actinic keratosis, which often have limitations and high recurrence rates. However, the findings are based on a single case, and larger studies are needed to confirm these results.
