The American Board of Hair Restoration Surgery (ABHRS) had been in existence for over 11 years by 2009, with 134 Diplomates from 15 countries. In January 2009, the board welcomed 10 new Diplomates from 5 countries, including the United States. This expansion highlighted the board's growing international presence and commitment to advancing the field of hair restoration surgery.
