TLDR Tinea corporis significantly reduces quality of life, so early detection and treatment are important.
The study assessed the quality of life (QOL) of 328 patients with Tinea Corporis (TC) at NRS Medical College using the Dermatology Life Quality Index (DLQI) questionnaire. It found that TC adversely affected QOL, with 3.658% experiencing an extremely large effect, 36.890% a very large effect, 40.853% a moderate effect, 17.987% a small effect, and 0.609% no effect. The duration of the disease and the body surface area involved significantly impacted QOL. The study concluded that early detection and treatment are crucial, and there is a need to raise awareness about TC among the general population.
