This review discussed gender-affirming hormone therapy for transgender and gender diverse adults in South Korea, focusing on masculinizing and feminizing treatments. Masculinizing therapy involved testosterone via injections or transdermal gels, and progesterone to suppress menstruation. Feminizing therapy combined androgen blockers, such as spironolactone and cyproterone acetate, with estrogen, delivered through oral pills, injections, or gels. The review highlighted the alignment of these treatments with international guidelines and addressed the side effects associated with each regimen.
