TLDR A nano-formula of quercetin effectively improves heart health in metabolic syndrome.
The study investigated the effects of a nano-pharmaceutical formula of quercetin on cardiovascular complications in a rat model of metabolic syndrome (MetS). It found that the quercetin-loaded nano-formula significantly improved cardiac function, reduced blood pressure, and decreased oxidative stress and inflammation more effectively than standard quercetin suspension. The enhanced bioavailability of the nano-formula, attributed to ingredients like pumpkin seed oil, contributed to its superior efficacy. The study involved 8 rats per group and concluded that the nano-formulation could be a promising therapeutic approach for cardiovascular complications in MetS.
