A method for achieving blood pressure control expeditiously with oral minoxidil

This 1975 study investigated the use of oral minoxidil to control blood pressure in patients with hypertension. The study found that minoxidil was effective in rapidly controlling blood pressure and established a safe dosing regimen. The use of this regimen should be considered as an alternative to parenteral drug administration in severe hypertension when immediate control of blood pressure is not required.
