A Case Report on the Use of Ayurveda in the Treatment of Iron Deficiency Anemia

    This case report describes the successful treatment of a 22-year-old female with iron deficiency anemia using Ayurvedic medicine. The patient experienced symptoms such as swelling, pallor, fatigue, palpitations, and hair loss. After a month of treatment with Ayurvedic formulations like Amalaki Rasayan, Navayas Lauh, and Kasis Bhasma, and dietary iron supplements, her symptoms, including hair loss, improved significantly, and her hemoglobin levels increased from 8.6g/dl to 12.7g/dl. The report concludes that Ayurvedic medicine can be an effective and safe treatment for iron deficiency anemia.
