Hair loss negatively affects the lives of Asian women, causing social embarrassment and unhappiness. In a study involving Caucasian women, those with highly visible hair loss reported a more negative impact on functioning, emotions, self-confidence, and stigmatization. Similarly, Asian women with female pattern hair loss experienced similar negative effects. Therefore, many Asian women seek treatment for their hair loss. Depending on the cause of hair loss, various treatment options are available. For female pattern hair loss, hair transplantation may be a major consideration, especially with newer techniques that lead to natural-looking results.
