    The study investigated the association between androgenetic alopecia and lipid parameters as risk factors for coronary artery disease, involving 102 patients with androgenetic alopecia and 40 control subjects without the condition. Results indicated significant differences in serum total lipid, phospholipid, and triglyceride levels between patients and controls, as well as between those with frontal baldness and controls. However, no significant differences were found in serum LDL-cholesterol, HDL-cholesterol, and total cholesterol levels between the two groups. This suggested a potential link between androgenetic alopecia and certain lipid parameters, although the relationship with coronary artery disease remained controversial.
