TLDR Meshushit ointment helps form thicker healing tissue and preserves hair follicles in burns.
This study evaluated the effects of Meshushit, a herbal ointment, on healing deep partial skin thickness burns in 15 animals over 27 days. The results showed that while epithelialization and contraction rates did not differ significantly between the test groups, Meshushit-treated wounds had significantly thicker granulation tissue (828.72 ± 46.39 microns vs. 540.78 ± 37.81 microns, P < 0.01) and a higher count of hair follicles (23.38 ± 1.84 vs. 3.76 ± 0.35, P < 0.001) compared to the control. The study concluded that Meshushit enhanced granulation tissue formation and better preserved hair follicles, likely due to improved dermal microcirculation.
