Dutasteride/Tamsulosin Accord is an oral medication used to treat benign prostatic hyperplasia (enlarged prostate) in men. It combines two active ingredients: 0.5 mg of dutasteride, a 5-alpha reductase inhibitor that reduces the production of dihydrotestosterone to shrink the prostate, and 0.4 mg of tamsulosin hydrochloride, an alpha-blocker that relaxes the muscles in the prostate to improve urine flow. The product is available in hard capsule form, with each capsule containing additional excipients such as hypromellose, carrageenan, and titanium dioxide. The capsules are oblong, with a brown body and an orange cap, and are available in various pack sizes. The medication is manufactured by SAG MANUFACTURING SLU and GALENICUM HEALTH, SL in Spain, and marketed by Accord Healthcare Polska Sp. z o.o. in Poland.
