    GlossaryQTc interval (Corrected QT interval)

time for heart's electrical system to recharge, adjusted for rate

The QTc interval, or Corrected QT interval, is a measurement on an electrocardiogram (ECG) that represents the time it takes for the heart's electrical system to recharge between beats, adjusted for heart rate. It is important because a prolonged QTc interval can indicate an increased risk of life-threatening arrhythmias, such as Torsades de Pointes.
