TLDR White piedra can be effectively treated with 2% miconazole nitrate lotion.

Two female patients with white piedra of the scalp were reported, presenting with hair loss and whitish nodules on their hairs. Diagnosis was confirmed through KOH examination and culture. Both patients showed remarkable improvement after using 2% miconazole nitrate lotion for 8 weeks.
