Serum Levels of Vitamin D3 in Patients with Hair Loss

    TLDR Many people with hair loss have low vitamin D levels.
    The study assessed vitamin D3 levels in 100 patients (27 men and 73 women) aged 18-50 suffering from hair loss. The average age was 29.5 years, and the average serum vitamin D level was 17.26 ng/mL. It found that 66% of these patients had vitamin D deficiency, with a significantly higher prevalence in women (P<0.001). The conclusion highlighted the noteworthy prevalence of vitamin D deficiency among individuals with hair loss.
