TLDR Vitamin D analogues can significantly help hair regrowth in Alopecia Areata patients.
This study investigated the relationship between vitamin D levels and hair growth in 143 patients with Alopecia areata (AA). It was found that 69.2% of participants had low serum vitamin D levels. Over a year, patients applied 0.005% calcipotriol topically twice daily, resulting in a significant reduction in the severity of AA, as indicated by a decrease in the mean SALT score from 21.2 to 9.7. The treatment was effective in 70.6% of patients, suggesting that vitamin D analogues can significantly aid in hair regrowth for those with AA.

Regrowing hairline without the use of Minoxidil or Finasteride, and instead using mechanical stimulation such as Derma Roller, Nizoral, Zinc Pyrithione, Scalp Massage, Scalp Exercise, Fish Oil and other topical solutions. It is cautioned that there are risks associated with not using medically-prescribed treatments, but it is suggested to consider mechanical stimulation in addition to those prescribed treatments.
