Five dogs were diagnosed with Vitamin A deficiency, showing symptoms such as scales, dry and rough hair coat, malodorous skin, easily epilated hairs, and local alopecia. The condition was associated with decreased hemoglobin, packed cell volume, and total erythrocyte count, along with low levels of zinc and iron. After Vitamin A supplementation, the dogs exhibited significant improvement in clinical symptoms, hematological values, and trace element levels.
