TLDR Choosing the right eyebrow and forehead rejuvenation technique depends on the individual's features and goals, and even small changes can make a big difference in appearance.
The 2007 document analyzed the upper third of the face for aging signs and discussed rejuvenation techniques. It highlighted that even minor changes in the eyelid/eyebrow area could significantly enhance aesthetics, though imperfections are noticeable. Aging factors such as sun exposure, gravity, and genetics can cause brow ptosis, affecting appearance and vision. Ideal brow positions differ for men and women, with women's brows ideally above the supraorbital rim and men's at or just below. Techniques for brow rejuvenation range from Botox to various surgical lifts, with considerations for protecting facial nerves during procedures. The document also reviewed forehead rejuvenation methods, including the coronal brow lift, pretrichial/trichophytic incisions, and the endoscopic brow lift, each with specific indications and potential risks like scarring and alopecia. The coronal lift is not recommended for younger men due to the risk of exacerbating male pattern hair loss. The endoscopic lift is less invasive but requires special equipment and training. The choice of technique should be tailored to the patient's anatomy and aesthetic goals for best results.
