Uji Aktivitas Ekstrak Terpurifikasi Kulit Batang Langir (Albizia saponaria) Sebagai Penumbuh Rambut Terhadap Kelinci (Oryctolagus cuniculus)

The study investigated the hair growth-promoting activity of purified bark extract from Albizia saponaria on rabbits. The experiment compared different concentrations (5%, 10%, 15%, and 20%) of the extract against a 5% minoxidil solution. Results showed that the 20% extract concentration significantly enhanced hair growth, with an average hair weight of 0.300 g, compared to 0.380 g for minoxidil, indicating its potential as an alternative treatment for hair loss. The study used a simple experimental design and data were analyzed using One-Way ANOVA, showing significant results with a p-value < 0.05.
