The document reported a rare case of traumatic arteriovenous fistula of the scalp following a hair transplant, successfully treated using the embolic agent PHIL. The patient experienced painful scalp swelling two years post-transplant, and a CT angiography revealed an arteriovenous fistula. The treatment involved percutaneous and endovascular embolization with coils and PHIL, marking possibly the first use of PHIL for this condition. The patient recovered without complications and remained healthy one month post-treatment. The study concluded that PHIL could be an alternative treatment for such fistulas.
