TLDR A single dose of fluralaner effectively treats mite infestations in cats without side effects.
The study demonstrated that a single topical dose of fluralaner effectively treated Lynxacarus radovskyi infestations in domestic cats, with all 10 treated cats becoming mite-free by day 42 and remaining so until day 98, while the 10 control cats stayed infested. No adverse effects were observed in the treated group, and the research was ethically approved and funded by CAPES, with no conflicts of interest reported by the authors.
